Is there a difference between what NINEJP and GTIE can do?

The University of Tokyo, Tokyo University of Science, and Waseda University have been commissioned by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) to participate in the Greater Tokyo Innovation Ecosystem (GTIE, https://), a platform to “foster university startups that change the world. GTIE is a platform to “nurture university-launched startups that will change the world” and aims to create a startup ecosystem in Greater Tokyo by bringing together universities, local governments, VCs, CVCs, accelerators, and private companies in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
There are similar university-launched startup support platforms in each region of Japan, and NINEJP is a network of nine such platforms that work together to efficiently and effectively promote the creation of university-launched startups on a nationwide scale.
